Description
My Skyrim OC, Aedmar, was completely blind for about sixty years or so, having gotten a fireball in the face during a battle. Later on, he met young Savos Aren and Co, who helped him restore the sight in one eye - but, even though he takes great joy in seeing the world around him once more, sometimes he finds it easier to concentrate with his eyes closed. He is actually pretty good at deducing who people are and what they are doing from the sounds they make and what they smell like. And now I am stuck with two persistent thoughts: A)Aedmar needs a sibling; B) Mycroft Holmes would make a decent Thalmor

Ooooh BOY! Just....look at that chiseled face... *swoon.* (I'm kinda glad he can't see me right now...though he can probably hear..) xD
Gorgeous line-work! And the white on black- is brilliant- not just that beautiful contrast, but also the symbolism of his being blind and 'seeing' things in quite a different way than we!
I had to gaze at the perfect nose for a bit...and those scarring lines down his cheeks. The crosshatching is so delicately handled: every line handled perfectly to it's station on his face.
A very clever way to imagine this, too. The blurred imagery- perhaps his memory conjuring long lost images to support his listening observations. "In a rush, rehearsing under breath'! I like that one! xD I love how he stops at 'stale mead smell', as if no further explanation needed! ;D It's perfect!
Once you get past the stunning gorgeousness of his face- you really can't help but marvel at the cleverness of how you drew and imagined the whole drawing! You work very subtly- details that may go unnoticed often making the piece what it is. For instance: the use of white on black.
THank you so much for sharing this with me! In reply to the note from whence came this link: You're strategy is brilliant! Keep it up!! xD
